METHOD for Gas/ Stove Cooking:
Take a heavy base sauce pan and melt butter in it.
Use a balloon whisk to mix in the flour and cook over low heat till the flour gets light almond color.
Add in milk and fresh cream (little at a time), stir vigorously to avoid the sauce sticking at the bottom or form any lumps.
Add salt as per taste along with sugar and cook for about a minute till the sauce gets a bit thick.
METHOD for Microwave Cooking:
Take a large, deep, microwave safe bowl and melt butter in it on 100% power for about 30 secs.
Add flour to it and mix well. Continue to microwave for another 2 minutes. (Stir in between)
Slowly stir in half of milk and blend well to avoid lumps. Microwave the sauce mixture, for about 2 minutes.
Mix in remaining milk, cream, sugar, salt & pepper and microwave for another 1 ½ minutes.
Remove the sauce and use accordingly. (If lumps are formed; strain or use a blender to make a smooth texture)
TIP: Use a balloon whisk to keep stirring every 30 seconds to avoid lump formation.
